Implementation Research on Malnutrition, Stunting and Fertilizers in Rwanda
The NCST won a grant from IDRC of up to 575,000 Canadian dollas (CAD) to provide funding to multi-sectorial and multi-disciplinary research project teams to implement comprehensive and competitive long-term research projects leading to tangible and measurable outcomes and innovative solutions to address malnutrition and stunting in Rwanda, being one of the societal problem to tackle and also challenges of fertilizers in Rwanda. In addition, capacity building component will also be considered under this grant.
A call was launched March 2023 by National Council for Science and Technology (NCST) in collaboration with International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Canada to fund 2 grants for research implementation on Malnutrition and stunting and 2 grants for implementation research on fertilizers. The technical external review process is undergoing to ensure assessment and selection of successful applications, notification of award, grant agreement signing are done prior implementation start.Details of funded projects are summarised below:
