The National Council for Science and Technology (NCST), through the funding by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), is implementing a project titled: “Support Scaling and Knowledge Translation for Research and Innovation Projects” with aim to enhance the impact of research on policy and practice;  enhance the commercialization of research results; strengthen the capacity of researchers to communicate their findings effectively; and increase the awareness of research findings among the general public.

In line with this, the National Council for Science and Technology (NCST) through this funding, intends to support researchers who wish to publish their results in credible Gold OA journals that charge fees to publish articles. The grant will consist of only publication fees.

This grant intends to support Rwandan researchers with high quality papers emanating from research conducted in Rwanda for Article Processing Charges (APC) for publication in open access high impact indexed peer reviewed journals. At least three (3) papers will be supported with a grant of Two Million Eight Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand Two Hundred Ninety Rwandan Francs (2,859,290 Frw) or less each. 

The call will be officially published on 1^st March 2024 with all details for instance eligibility and evaluation criteria and other requirements.
